IT Services
Deployment, Storage and On-Site Support
Shivnet images and deploys devices to your users and sites, stores and inventories your equipment until it is needed, and provides de-installation, relocation and office-move support at your location.
Service Lines
What Our IT Services Cover
Three services that get equipment to your people, account for it while it waits and move it when your sites change.
Imaging and Deployment
Devices are imaged, configured, asset-tagged and kitted before they leave us, then shipped to your users or your sites, ready to be handed out.
Warehousing and Inventory
Secure storage for your equipment that is not in use yet, with inventory management that lists what we hold for you.
On-Site Services
Hands-on work by our technicians at your location. It covers de-installation when equipment comes out, relocation when it moves within or between your sites, and office-move support when the whole office is moving or closing.
Deliverables
What You Receive
What each service leaves you with when the work is done.
Devices arrive imaged with the build you specified and configured to your requirements, asset-tagged to match your records and kitted to your list, at the users or sites you named.
For equipment in storage, you receive an inventory of what is on hand, and units leave storage on dates agreed with you. On-site work ends with the equipment de-installed, relocated or handed over to our IT asset disposition (ITAD) service, as you marked it.
Your Deliverables
- Devices imaged to your build
- Asset tags as you specified
- Kits assembled to your list
- Shipments to named users or sites
- An inventory of stored equipment
Who It Is For
When IT Services Are the Right Fit
Four situations that call for imaging and deployment, warehousing and inventory, or on-site services. The services are built for corporate offices and IT departments, schools and colleges, healthcare practices, government, and leasing companies.
New Hires and Growing Fleets
For an organization adding people or sites. Devices for your new hires are imaged and shipped to them or to their site, so each person starts with a device that is ready to use.
Equipment Bought Ahead of a Rollout
For purchases made before the rollout date. The equipment is stored and inventoried with us, then deployed in waves as each group of users is ready.
An Office Move or Closure
For an office that is moving or closing. In a move, equipment travels to the new site. In a closure, it is stored with us or retired. Either way, our technicians de-install it at the old site.
A Refresh Paired With Retirement
For a fleet being replaced. New devices are imaged and deployed while the outgoing fleet retires through ITAD, with both planned at the same time.
Deployment
How Imaging and Deployment Works
The four steps every device goes through before it ships.
-
1
Image
Each device is imaged with the build you specify for its user or site. One order can carry different builds for different sites or groups.
-
2
Configure
Settings are configured to your requirements, so the device is ready for its user when it is unboxed.
-
3
Tag and Kit
Once a device is configured, it is asset-tagged and kitted, both as your plan sets out.
-
4
Ship
We ship the finished devices to your users or your sites on the agreed dates, in one shipment or in waves as your rollout requires.
How to Prepare
Before a Deployment
The plan is agreed by email before any device is imaged. These are the details we ask for first, so nothing is missing when work starts.
- Send your image and configuration requirements
- Give shipping addresses by user or site
- Give quantities by model
- Say how devices should be asset-tagged
- Say what each kit should include
- Tell us what to hold in storage
- Confirm the ship dates
Storage
Warehousing and Inventory
What Can Wait in Storage
Storage is not only for equipment bought ahead of a rollout. A laptop that is between one user and the next can wait with us, listed in the inventory until it is needed again.
You keep ownership throughout. When you need equipment back, email us and we agree the date it leaves storage.
From Storage to Service
To bring equipment out, tell us which inventory entries to release and where each should go. Units being redeployed move from storage into imaging and deployment. Units that will not go back into use can retire through our ITAD service instead.
On Site
On-Site Services and Office Moves
De-installation
Equipment is disconnected and removed from desks and offices, whether a few workstations are being cleared or a whole floor is emptying. You mark what comes out, and our technicians take it down and carry it out.
Relocation
Equipment is moved between floors, buildings or sites. When a department changes floors or a team moves to another building, the equipment goes with them and arrives where you specify.
Office Moves
When your office moves, our technicians take down the IT equipment at the old site and bring it to the new one on the move dates planned with you.
Not everything at the old site goes to the new one. Equipment not needed yet goes into storage with us. Equipment being retired leaves under chain of custody through our ITAD service, closing with a serialized audit report and certificates.
Before the Move
- List the floors, buildings or sites
- Sort equipment into move, store or retire
- Flag off-lease equipment to return
- Tell us about access to each site
- Confirm the dates with us
Questions
IT Services Questions Answered
Can you image devices with our own build?
Yes. Send us the build and the configuration to apply, and each device is imaged from it.
Do devices ship to individual users or to our sites?
Either, as you specify. Devices can go to the person who will use each one or to a site where your own team hands them out, and an order can include both.
Can you asset-tag devices with our own tag numbers?
Yes. Devices are asset-tagged as you specify, so the tags match your asset records. Say how devices should be tagged in your first email.
What does kitted mean?
A kitted device is packed with the accessories you specify, such as its power adapter, so the user receives everything together rather than a bare unit.
How is relocation different from data center decommissioning?
Relocation, one of our on-site services, moves the equipment at your desks and in your offices to another floor, building or site while it stays in use. Data center decommissioning is part of ITAD: the equipment is being retired, so it leaves the rack under chain of custody and the serialized audit report records each unit with its outcome.

IT Asset Disposition
Equipment retired during a rollout or move is wiped to the NIST 800-88 method, with a certificate of data destruction for each device and a serialized audit report of every asset's outcome.
